Off the A40 take the slip road sign posted Symonds Yat West.
If you were heading South on the A40 you will go straight over at the island passing the Old Court Hotel (if heading North you will take the second exit).
Follow the road round taking a sharp right hand bend passing the caravan/leisure park site on the left.
Carrying straight on go past the Wye Knot Inn and then at the Paddocks Hotel the road splits, keep right going up the hill past the Walnut Tree Cottage Hotel.
Keep going up and down the hill for approximately a quarter of a mile, until you eventually pass the Wye Rapid Cottages on the right hand side.
Here the road is marked access only, carry on down the hill and round the very tight sharp left hand bend, the building you see before you is the back of Alpine Cottages.
Carry on down the hill followingthe double yellow lines down untill you come to a turning area, you have then reached the gates.
